Darby aka Norman Hayes aka Rudy is a former alumni of the legendary Alpha Boys School in Kingston, Jamaica where he learned to play the saxophone. Arriving in the UK to join his parents in London in the early sixties he worked as a musician playing reggae and soul backing for numerous bands both on stage and in the studio. He also played in the Undivided reggae group with Gene Rondo in the seventies and eighties. This album is the result of sessions at Easy Street Studios with engineer Eddie Man who gets a great sound out of the ensemble horns.
