Remarks From their formation in western Kingston during the mid-1970s, the Heptones harmony trio made an exceptional impact. After a few singles for Ken Lack in the late ska phase, their arrival at Studio One led to huge hits in rock steady and early reggae, such as ‘Fatty Fatty,' ‘Equal Rights’ and ‘Love Won’t Come Easy.’ Breaking away from Dodd in 1971, they scored hits for Joe Gibbs and Prince Buster, and went on to make acclaimed albums for Harry J and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, handled overseas by Trojan and Island. Then, after lead singer Leroy Sibbles migrated to Canada on a permanent basis circa 1978, Dolphin ‘Naggo’ Morris was drafted in as replacement, giving the group a new lease of life/ Niney the Observer drew the best out of the reconfigured trio, as heard on the driving extended twelve-inch of ‘Through The Fire I Come,’ backed by the equally forceful ‘Move On.’
