The list of influences on the sleeve include names as diverse as Iration Steppas, John Coltrane, EPMD, Alpha & Omega, Jah Tubby's, Saxon Sound, Thelonius Monk, Michael Prophet, Yusuf Lateef and Augustus Pablo, but this listener is reminded frequently of Ari Up and the Slits and Adrian Sherwood's New Age Steppers as much as any on that list.
