Remarks The Kingston Lions is a vibrant celebration of Jamaica's rich musical legacy that brings together a revered group of musicians dubbed the Jamaican Buena Vista Social Club.

Produced by Ralph Sall (Paul McCartney, Billy Joel) and helmed by legendary guitarist Mikey Chung (Grace Jones The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Maxi Priest) , the project brings together a "supergroup" of Jamaica's finest session musicians-- including Featuring: Mikey "Mao" Chung, Boris Gardiner, Mikey Boo, Franklin "Bubbler" Waul, Uzziah "Sticky" Thompson, Mitch, Andrew Cassanova & Karell Wisdom - who have amongst them have played alongside Sly & Robbie, The Upsetters, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, Lee Scratch Perry, Black Uhuru & Burning Spear, to name just a few.

A bold and deeply heartfelt tribute to the golden age of Jamaican music, this debut album pays homage to timeless Reggae hits from the 1960s and '70s, including reinterpretations of Desmond Dekker's Israelites, the Heptones' Book of Rules, and the Melodians' Rivers of Babylon. Recorded at Kingston's Anchor Studios, the sessions capture the camaraderie and soul of artists who helped shape reggae's golden era, and is a chance to celebrate these unsung heroes who played on countless classics from Studio One, Black Ark, and the Compass Point era.

The record also marks the final collaboration of Chung, Wisdom, and Thompson - making The Kingston Lions Record not only a powerful tribute to Jamaica's musical heritage but also a poignant farewell from some of its greatest contributors.
