Remarks	Little Johnny Jones – aka Johnny Lover – Virginia Skank – Pressure Beat A Classic Skank tune. A powerful shuffle organ pushes the rhythm along in fine style. While the bass and drum work the melody – probably built for old Gibbo by the Now Generation Band. Would love to know what vocal cut is. Superb harmonies. But it's also a great deejay tune – Johnny Lover – did a lot of tunes for Gibbo – and there are probably more still unreleased. He needed an album then – and fully deserves one now. All the deejays from that era made incredible contributions. Featuring Johnny Lover -once again it sounds very much like a rhythm built by the Now Generation Band – it’s got that rawness that only they could provide – but also that easy style of playing. It’s very hard to describe. ‘Beat Down Babylon’ was very popular around that time – Lee Perry released more than enough versions of it – and when you have version – there is always room for one or two more. And this is a very good one.
