Remarks	Described rightly in the past - as reggae music’s first Supergroup. The Tartans made great music mainly for Ken Lack and Merritone/Federal. Over four years they made some incredible tunes - over 20 in all. What didn’t happen for them was a big hit. Reggae is full of mysteries - and this is just another one. What they lacked as well was a LP. But it was a different time, LP’s from artists were rare. And not having a big hit didn’t help.
