Remarks The explosion of vocal groups started in the Rock Steady era, the mid sixties, and carried on right up until the end of the seventies - where it ended with groups like Culture and Cultual Roots. The Creations (Barry York and Ossie Henry) recorded for Joe Gibbs around the mid to late sixties. When people think of the Rock Steady - they of course think of Duke Reid, Coxsone,Federal, and Caltone, but how many people think of old Gibbo!! And yet the man made some great tunes.
